Terms and Conditions​

1. Apartment Bookings

1.1 We request that all bookings are to be completed via our booking system online or by telephone.

1.2 All charges shown are inclusive of VAT and must be paid in local currency (GBP).

1.3 All direct bookings are to be paid for in full at the time of booking. 

1.4 Bookings shall be deemed to be for the purpose of the person or people whose names appear on the reservation. In the event that the number of allowed guests (a maximum of four people in The Penthouse and a maximum of two people in The Studio) has been exceeded, Royal View Apartments reserve the right to revoke the reservation without refund.

1.5 If for any reason it proves necessary for us to make a change to your booking, we will refund in full any monies paid by you, the guest. Royal View Apartments shall be under no further obligation or liability in this respect.

2. Cancellations, Modifications and No-Shows

2.1 A full refund will be given if a cancellation is received 5 days prior to arrival.

2.2 All cancellations must be sent in writing, preferably via email, to stay@royalviewapartments.co.uk.

2.3 We will confirm with you in writing once we have received your cancellation.

2.4 We do not accept cancellations by telephone.

3. Check In and Check Out

3.1 The check in time for the Penthouse and Studio apartments is from 4pm.

3.2 The check out time for the Penthouse and Studio apartments is 11am. Please help us prepare for our next guests by adhering to this departure time.

4. Parking

4.1 All Royal View Apartment guests have access to a complimentary parking permit upon arrival (prior to 5pm on the day of check in). This allows guests to park one car in the specified permit car park. This is valid in all South Lakeland District car parks within Kirkby Lonsdale and in selected South Lakeland District Council car parks within Cumbria. 

4.2 The permit can be collected from Chocolat in Kirkby Lonsdale, LA6 2AB (directly below Royal View Apartments) between the hours of 10am and 5pm on your day of check in. 

4.3 A £60 fully refundable cash deposit is required upon collection of the permit. This amount covers the exact cost of a replacement permit should it go missing. 

4.4 Once the permit is returned to Chocolat in Kirkby Lonsdale, LA6 2AB at the end of your stay, you will be refunded in full.

5. Access

5.1 Guests can enter the main apartment building using the entrance to 'Tiggywinkles' launderette. The door closest to the street will be left open for guests to access.

5.2 The door located in the porch of the building has an electronic door entry system and you will gain entry with a unique access code that will be texted to you on the morning of your arrival date. 

5.3 The Studio is located on the first floor and The Penthouse is located on the second floor of the building. Each apartment door also has an electronic door entry system and you will gain entry with a unique access code that will be sent to you on the morning of your arrival date.

6. Apartment Occupancy

6.1 The Penthouse and Studio Apartments have been designed for adults aged 18 and over.

6.2 The maximum number of guests in The Penthouse is four. The maximum number of guests in The Studio is two. We do not allow extra guests.

6.3 If we have reason to believe that more than the maximum number of guests stated are occupying either of the apartments during your stay, we reserve the right to withhold your security deposit of £200.

7. Complimentary Toiletries

7.1 Complimentary toiletries have been provided in the apartment and whilst every effort has been made to ensure they are hypoallergenic, use of these items is at your own risk and no responsibility will be accepted for any adverse reaction. You are advised to test on a small patch of skin before use.

8. WiFi Internet Access

8.1 We offer complimentary WiFi throughout the building however it cannot be guaranteed that it is always available or at the speed you may be used to.

9. Pets

9.1 In The Penthouse, we welcome up to two well behaved, small breed, non shedding dogs per booking.

9.2 In The Studio, we welcome up to one well behaved, small breed, non shedding dog per booking.

10. Smoking and Vaping

10.1 No smoking or vaping is permitted in any area of the building, including the downstairs porch and directly outside Chocolat in Kirkby Lonsdale and 'Tiggywinkles' launderette.

10.2 Should we detect smoking and/or vaping has taken place in the apartment and/or apartment building, we reserve the right to withhold your security deposit of £200 to cover the cost of deep cleaning the areas affected.

11. Security Deposit

11.1 When placing a booking you accept responsibility for any theft, breakages, excessive noise or anti-social behaviour caused by you or the other members of your party and agree to indemnify us in full for any loss that we may incur as a result.

11.2 We reserve the right to deduct the full cost of any theft, breakages or damages that may occur during your stay from the card used to pay for your reservation.

12. Force Majeure

12.1 Royal View Apartments does not accept liability or pay any compensation for our failure to provide the services contracted due to circumstances beyond our control, such as acts of God, (natural) disaster, fire, (acts of) war and terrorism, strikes, riots, civil disorder, governmental regulations, industrial disputes, adverse weather conditions or any other exceptional catastrophic event, circumstances or emergency, making it impossible, illegal or preventing guests from staying in our apartments.

13. Acceptance of Conditions

13.1 These conditions shall be deemed to have been accepted by you at the time when you completed the booking form.
